You might be described as having "a spare tire," "love handles," or "a muffin top" depending on your generation. Consider switching to green tea instead. To aid with weight loss, drink green tea, which is rich in antioxidants and has fat-burning characteristics.

If you want to do yourself a favor, skip the cereal and have something more protein-rich, like eggs, for breakfast instead. For a healthier breakfast option, choose turkey bacon instead of conventional bacon. Scramble two egg whites and one whole egg instead of toast.

Better fats and leaner meats should also make up more of your diet. Omega-3 fatty acids, as well as mono- and polyunsaturated fats, are the best kind of fats. In particular, salmon is a great source of the omega-3 fatty acids. Swap out butter and margarine for olive oil while cooking, and invest in a high-quality nonstick spray made of olive oil or canola oil.
